Inherent in a comment like that is already the presumption that he is not afraid to scare you away with (you need to be happy with the little I can give you). Guys lose respect and don't fall in love with the partners that allow this. You can walk the line of showing him that you are worthy of respect, being a top priority and not being needy--but it's not easy. It's more typical that you would swing all the way to "not needy" and then he takes you for granted OR all the way to trying to show him to put you as a top priority and it comes off as needy. You are all right...I really could care less anymore. But for the record....he did not cheat on her with me.
